A short film based on a true abortion story to premiere in January 2017.
Poppy had a vision for women to find solidarity.
This film was created to bring awareness to the many, and often silent, women who have had abortions and felt alone. This is their film and with it, this is their community.
Branding & Digital Marketing Campaign
For this project I worked on the branding and graphic design for posters and the crowdfunding campaign on Chuffed. Together with the directors, we handpicked the font, coloring of the graphics, and chose a handful of imagery that truly captured the feeling and mission of the film.
Above: Names of Women poster iterations
Since the narrative is incredibly personal and emotional, I wanted to put more emphasis on building the foundation of a community by using images that evoked the sense that women have different roles and identities. For the poster I chose to highlight the wise, wild, and motherly role inside of us all, using Poppy's silhouette and a portrait of herself in nature.
